It can be hard to find your footing as a new parent. The period of pregnancy and postpartum (the first year after birth) is a a time of extreme change. There is a lot to sort through practically, logistically as well as emotionally. It is a vulnerable and tender time for either parent, with so much newness to contend with: biological/physical changes and challenges, a lot of uncertainty, high demands, constant changes with your baby, and new relationship stressors.
I am certified in perinatal mental health (PMH-C) and work with individuals and couples who are in transition to becoming new parents or are welcoming additional children to their family. I work to help individuals and couples create an ongoing space for themselves to pause and reconnect with themselves and their needs as they change and shift over this turbulent period, supporting the process of becoming the parent(s) and families they want to be.
